Paul matter is a lighting design studio founded by Nikhil Paul in 2016. Studio's work explores the timelessness in design and culture through its collection of lights and objects. The designs are most notable for their sculptural form, inherent function and materials that refine with age. Each product is handcrafted by master craftsmen, finished and assembled by hand with great attention to detail. Studio's work has been showcased at Salone Del Mobile, Tokyo design week, masterpiece London, Nomad Monaco and AD Design show. It has been featured in important design and lifestyle publications such as Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, World of Interiors, Vogue, Elle Decor.

The concepts and prototypes are thought driven and developed at the studio using natural materials such as brass, copper, wood, clay and stone. The pieces are then entirely handcrafted with great care by a team of master craftsmen. Finally, each piece is finished, wired and assembled by hand one piece at a time.
